Because our butyl tape creates such an excellent, flexible, long-lasting seal with predictable movement characteristics, it has many many uses in sealing and weatherproofing roofing and cladding projects. It works brilliantly with so many substrates including aluminium, steel and fibre cement so it provides the ultimate versatility across a number of roofing and cladding applications.

Membrane

Butyl tape provides an excellent barrier to water, and air making it perfect for use on lap joints on most membranes. Because it is so easy to apply, it is the perfect choice for sealing membrane joints on site. We have a range of double and single sided tapes so there is one to suit any on-site membrane sealing application. We even provide specialist tape stripe to protect against the escape of radon gas or methane.

Wet Rooms

An easy alternative to sealing joints in kitchens and bathrooms, butyl tape is the adhesive to bond decorative plastic trims, and to seal round the edge of baths, sinks, and shower trays . In any wet room, our fleece-backed butyl tapes will make the joints between floor and wall joints and around drains, water tight and leak-free.
